I am a survivor of this cult, and so are some of my family members. I first went there in early 1980′s . I was there roughly ten years.
As MOLHQ stated, we DO understand your pain and frustration. I believe MOLHQ gave you some excellent advice. Please know that your identity will never be “exposed”. The only thing we expose here are the false doctrines taught by WOL.
If you read over MOLHQ’s reponse on the FORUM, you will notice that there are people we can put you in contact with, that CAN and WILL help you.
For the most part, I am “over” WOL. I merely keep up with it to watch it’s inevitable demise and how the story will turn out.
PLEASE- feel free to post here anytime. VENT all you want! This is a safe place to do that, and NO ONE will know who you are.

My brother and sister in law are very dedicated to this man! They don’t live in TX, but watch him constantly and hang on his every word. I can’t even talk to them about it, because they shut me down immediately. Once they stopped speaking to me for almost a year. Now, they speak to me, but all that spews from their mouths is Doyle Davidson said. Even before finding this site, it was obvious to me what the man says is nuts! I don’t know how to help them…or even if I should?

Dear LS: Unfortuanately, your family members are brainwashed, and this man has a evil hold over them. The MORE you confront them, and criticize HIM< the more defensive they will become. I know, because I was caught up in this mess with some family members, and we were there, physically, for nearly 10 years. Here's my suggestion: don't talk to them about this man or this so called "church". The more you say, the more they secretly enjoy defending him, and wallow in their "persecution for jezuz". I did not spell the Savior's name, because these people don't know Jesus, nor the true gospel. Notice the Prophet/Apostle calls it HIS gospel.
It's NOT the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is not meant to sound trite, but you will have to simply PRAY for them, diligently, and also turn them over, and place them into God's Hands. This releases the Holy Spirit to start working in their lives. Keep praying and blessing your family, this "prophet" and his ministry. You will have to overcome evil with good. In the meantime, there are OTHERS on here that belong to support groups. I don't, but we will get the resources to you. Keep posting all you want! Vent your feelings and frustrations. It’s reassuring to know there there are people out there aware of this cult. There is no doubt in my mind that it is a cult. My sister and I were close and talked on the phone at least once each week if not more. We haven’t spoken in two years now. For a long time I kept my opinions to myself about this “church”, but the more she talked about it, the more I couldn’t keep my feelings to myself. Just by subtly letting her know it wasn’t a path I was willing to follow, just by very subtly letting her know I was perhaps slightly skeptical, it immediately put distance between us. After a year of no contact I called her to try to bridge the gap, but ended up, after a very frustrating coversation saying that I indeed believed she is involved in a cult. Well, that did it. If I call now, I get voicemail and messages are not answered. She has been consumed by this very creepy and scary cult. Doyle not only looks like a lunatic, I believe he is one. Especially after reading some of this stuff posted on this website.
Please keep doing what you’re doing, educating people about this lunatic and his cult. He is a predator and he preys on people who’ve had hurt and hardship in thier lives. He is a master manipulator. My suspicion is that he is a total sociopath.

My opinions of WOL and the leader of it are my OWN feelings- each one of us on the Forum may see things a bit differently, but this is HOW I FEEL. That was a bone of contention about WOL. One had to shut their feelings and emotions OFF once they hit the church doors. ANY expression of emotion(outside of screaming while beling delivered of fake demons by fake power from a fake prophet) was frowned upon. Keep praying for your family members that are still there, Keep praying and don’t give up. However, I won’t sugar coat it, because Jesus said family relationships WOULD be divided. And not because it was the will of God to tear families apart, but those that refuse to hear the truth and would rather believe a false prophet are cut off from the rest of the family. The more negative statements you make about WOL the more they will defend it. I KNOW, BECAUSE I DID IT. My family tried to warn me about it, and all it did was make me defensive. My friend from high-school is one of the camera operators. Even in high-school (when I was lost) I always thought it peculiar that he would ALWAYS be going to church as though he lived there. But even tonight, I was just curious of what his church is like (for no real reason). And I looked it up, and it seemed odd in a cult-like way. Something is very wrong here. I have to do something, or talk to him; his eternity is at stake

Yes, it’s odder than you can imagine. I’m someone that started going there in the 1980′s. Yes, something INDEED is very wrong here: it’s called Doyle Davidson’s theology. I’m afraid your “friend” the camera operator is brainwashed, so if you talk to him/her…. you are very unlikely to communicate with that person. Your Woller friend will need you when this is all over and it would be encouraging to just stand by…..most likely he is one of the ones born into this cult and that’s all he knows or he has grown to fear Doyle and his parents who are considered the “die hards” even if Jesus appeared in person and told them to leave Doyle, they just won’t cause they believe Doyle instead of Jesus!!! That’s what finally opened my eyes to realize how much I believed Doyle instead of Jesus…it was one of the scariest things I realized and can still remember how I felt…I was so stricken with sorrow for having to realize this and just stayed in prayer asking for forgiveness….It took a long time to realize just how wicked Doyle is and all that help him tear families apart and call it GOD….!
However, stay strong and yes be his friend and keep in contact, you can question, but it will most likely just alienate you from him, so come back and give us a report! Or if you want just come back and we can help you understand how people can get wrapped up in stuff like this….that might be the best solution for you right now cause it helps to understand these people first…..A lot of us here went to WOL, some of us didn’t….so it’s been an incredible walk for all of us!
